WNT Ventures announces the first two portfolio companies of their second fund

WNT Ventures is pleased to announce Foundry Lab and TDRI Limited as the first two portfolio companies of their second $4.4 million investment fund.

Foundry Lab, led by CEO David Moodie, is an advanced manufacturing start-up looking to disrupt short run metal production. The Foundry Lab technology will be solving the long-standing market pain of slow turnaround and high piece price that plagues prototyping and low volume manufacturing.

TDRI Limited, a spinout from Lincoln Agritech Limited, is developing a range of remote and portable sensors based on novel time domain reflectometry imagery (TDRi) technology.   Whilst the potential for the technology extends to a range of industries and applications the company, which will be managed by WNT Ventures, will be initially focused on developing sensing devices for the road construction sector.

Carl Jones, CEO of WNT Ventures, believes that Fund II is off to a great start with Foundry Lab and TDRI Limited and credits the work of WNT Ventures Investment Managers, Jon Sandbrook and Laura Faulconer, and Investment Analyst, Michael Nguyen, in getting these first two investments across the line.

The WNT Ventures team will be looking to further invest in pre-revenue, technology rich startups in 2019. If you have an investment opportunity that you would like to discuss with the team, please contact admin@wntventures.co.nz.
