Digitally creating dense metal cast prototypes quickly and safely without pouring molten metal

Prototyping has traditionally been a slow and expensive process for manufacturers. Typical casting can take up to six weeks to produce and generic 3D printed prototypes don’t create the right physical structures required for testing. Our patented digital metal casting process is the best of both worlds – the ease of 3D printing and the density of metal casting.

Our prototypes have the same physical properties as traditional cast metal, but without pouring any molten metal. Now manufacturers to go from CAD design directly to production in a single day.

It’s really easy to use – we add metal powder or ingots to a mold and microwave it – and it works for aluminium, magnesium, zinc and stainless steel. Switching metals is also really easy.

How has WNT Ventures helped you?

WNT were amazing right from the start. They took a huge risk when they came on. I had cast a few parts but not a full system. They saw the potential for the market even more than I did. They were great listeners and were very fair and measured when I talked through what I had in mind.

WNT gave us the commercial insights and advice we needed to direct our technical development. Through their experience and international networks, they carried out US-centric market validation work, helped us with our IP strategy and developed financial models to understand early economic indicators.

WNT is on our Board and we see them as a long-term trusted partner. We’ll always seek their advice on the issues we’ll soon be facing as we start to generate commercial revenues.

What does the future hold?

We’re focused on the US and Europe and want to help the R&D teams at car manufacturers to develop production-identical metal parts that can be used for testing and prototyping before committing to mass production.

We’ve raised a Series A round from international VCs and will embark on a Series B round in the near future.

"WNT carried out US-centric market validation work, helped us with our IP strategy and developed financial models to understand early economic indicators."
