After an internal promotion within our team we were on the search for an Investment Analyst.
Grace has moved from Auckland and the Intellectual Property Team and Plant and Food Research to Tauranga to be part of WNT Ventures.
Her foundation in commercialising great science was built while studying for her Master of Bioscience Enterprise at Auckland University, which she completed with a First Class Honors in 2018. Grace’s summer internships took her, after graduating, into a fulltime position at Plant and Food as their Intellectual Property Co-ordinator. This time with the company has honed her skills in guiding IP strategy for innovation from the research funding stage through to investment cases for pre-seed funding.
We took Grace out to lunch and found out a few more things about her. She has had a go at brewing mead, beer and feijoa wine and being new to Tauranga, she is looking for a hockey team to play in next year.
Grace has already been thrown into the deep end of deep tech and has stepped up to the plate (or goal circle) and is already working with the WNT Investment Managers.
WNT has a culture of collaboration and mentoring and the IM’s are all excited about bringing Grace in on the innovations they have in the pipeline.
Do you have a technology or company that needs funding and support? We are looking for innovative, pre-revenue companies with strong intellectual property and global potential.
