Fine spring weather arrived today in Tauranga along with our new Investment Manager - Niamh Given.
Having spent over a decade in China working in the product development and manufacturing industry, and working with both Fortune 500 companies and startups, Niamh has honed her extensive skills in building global tech companies.
It isn’t just Niamh's global experience with startups that has got us excited about her joining us at WNT, while she was recruited remotely over zoom when movement around the entire country was restricted, her friendly personable approach was obvious from the start and is a perfect fit for the company.
Niamh is an entrepreneur herself and moved to NZ with her family three years ago, after working with Nest VC in Hong Kong. While with the company, she was responsible for all their corporate accelerator programmes across Asia, helping later stage startups launch into the Asian market.
Since moving to NZ she has worked as an advisor to a portfolio of companies, focussing on marketing and market expansion, and (with Soda Inc.) has also been helping early stage company founders build out their business models and raise capital.
We are fortunate to have her on board with us and know Niamh is a real asset to the New Zealand deep tech community.
If you want to know if WNT is the right partner for you and your deep tech innovation, reach out to one of our Investment Managers through our team page or to Niamh directly below.
(Niamh is an Irish name and pronounced to rhyme with ''Steve'. How to pronounce Niamh? - Youtube link)
Do you have a technology or company that needs funding and support? We are looking for innovative, pre-revenue companies with strong intellectual property and global potential.
